Spooky Halloween Lawn Ghosts

Lawn Ghosts

Yes pinterest is my new obsession. If only I had the time to do all the wonderfully delicious, amazing projects my mind fills with after only a mere twenty minutes on pinterest. Sigh...
It used to be only after a holiday I would discover something I wish I had done but now, we have pinterest to save the day! A little Underdog tune added there...
Any way since it's officially October I've decided to decorate my lawn with ghosts. It's never to early to start celebrating Halloween right? Especially when there are so many fun ideas to try!!

These came together very easy. We used 4 pieces of rebar, 10 ft long, cut in half (if you can't cut them have your local hardware store such as Lowes or Home Depot cut them for you)
Stick the rebar in the ground in a circle.
We reused plastic sheeting from our remodel for the head stuffing and bodies.
Fill the sheeting with more sheeting, newspaper, or leaves in the form of a lollipop and stick it on the rebar. Cut thin strip of sheeting to tie around the neck leaving them long enough to become arms. Take more strips of sheeting and crisscross around the chest and over the arms to position the arms into a realistic position (not coming out of the waist or neck) Be patient! Play with them until you get them looking just right.
Tie arms together to form a circle of dancing ghosts.
Gather some branches and holiday lights, pile them in the middle and voila!

 Enjoy your spooky creation!

Next we will add a graveyard...

  1. Thanks! We had a lot of fun making them and they held up great during a very blustery night last night!
